Affordable Art Can Move You Even
Though It's Not Expensive
So I was watching this flick the other night. Maybe you've heard of it. It's
called "The Da Vinci Code." As you probably already know, it concerns art and
some bizarre history regarding Jesus Christ. Well, as I watched Tom Hanks
examine the Mona Lisa, it struck me how absurdly expensive artwork is. Now,
I know what you may be thinking. Old paintings from centuries ago should be
worth millions. However, I can't personally say that this ancient artwork
does much for me. I mean, sure it's interesting, but so are plenty of the
new paintings created today. I guess I would rather have some affordable art
hanging on my wall that depicts exactly what I enjoy looking at. After all,
art shouldn't be about the cost.
What moves you? This is a pertinent question for anyone who appreciates some
sort of art. Maybe you're taken-back by phenomenal nature scenes or powerful
waterfalls. This is totally understandable. I think it's safe to say that we
all like to view beautiful things. Well did you know that you can get
affordable art work depicting these visions? You could hang an outstanding
nature scene on your wall and not empty out the savings account in the
process. Think of all the art students out there, just dying to show and
market their work. These are the folks to purchase from. Not only will you
be acquiring some darn affordable art, but you'll be helping a struggling
artist in the process.
When it comes to art, I prefer scenes of astronomy. I hired a local artist
to come to my home and paint an awesome outer space scene on my daughter's
bedroom walls. The artist did a brilliant job and my daughter loved it. At a
total of 300 bucks, I would certainly call this affordable art. She
completed the project in only two days. Imagine what I would have paid some
famous artist for the very same work. It may have cost me the price of a car
or something absurd. Art is not about money; it's about beauty and
expression. Think about this the next time you're in the market for some art
to compliment your home. I'll bet you can get a great deal from a college
art student, who has plenty to offer.
